Our services

The research applied to materials and fuel cells is carried out in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Chemistry of the University of Genoa and the Institute of Chemistry for Condensed Substance and Energy Technology ICMATE of CNR (Consiglio Nazionale per le Ricerche).

Fuel Cells
SOFC and SOEC

The solutions proposed for applied research on SOFC and SOEC fuel cells were developed by the University of Genoa during its participation in the European research projects Ad-Astra and Endurance, aimed at studying the materials used in fuel cells to extend their life cycle.
THE MATERIAL SAMPLE
The research activities are conducted using Real Life Tester, equipment that allows you to analyze and stress circular samples of fuel cell with diameter 25 mm and thickness up to 5 mm, by measuring changes in electrochemical properties in real time.

In this simplified reproduction you can see in the centre the fuel cell sample in contact with the electrodes in noble metal, the two gas chambers fixed on the rings applied to the sample and the external containment chamber.

Materials Analysis

The services for the research applied to materials are carried out in collaboration with the Labotratory of Metallurgy and Materials (LMM) of the Department of Industrial Chemistry of the University of Genoa, which has advanced laboratory equipment able to cover a wide range of needs and has a large case history of activities carried out on behalf of national and foreign companies and industrial groups.
